How Often Should You Get a Facial? A Frisco Esthetician's Answer

The honest answer is: as often as your skin renews itself. For most adults that cycle runs about 28 days and lengthens with age.

The default rhythm

Every four to six weeks suits most skin. That timing lines up with the turnover cycle so each facial works on freshly surfaced cells rather than repeating work already done.

When to come more often

Some concerns benefit from a shorter series to begin:

  • Active congestion or acne — every two to three weeks for the first few visits
  • Pigmentation and uneven tone — a structured series, then maintenance
  • Pre-wedding or event prep — a plan started three to six months out

When to come less often

Very reactive, rosacea-prone or barrier-compromised skin often does better with gentler treatments spaced six to eight weeks apart while home care does the heavy lifting.

Texas seasons matter

Frisco summers demand hydration, barrier repair and diligent SPF. Cooler months are the window for more corrective work, when sun exposure is lower and skin tolerates active treatment better.

The Takeaway

Book every four to six weeks as a baseline, then let your esthetician adjust the interval to your skin and the season.
